Frequently Asked Questions

Every wedding day looks different, and every couple has different needs and priorities. It can be difficult to assess those on your own when you’re at the beginning of your wedding planning journey!
A free consultation allows us to get into your dreams and goals. From there, I can break down how the different options fit into that vision and make recommendations.
Here are a few topics for reflection as a jumping off point:
Do you have the spare time needed to plan your own wedding?
Do you feel confident in your understanding of the steps required to plan your wedding?
Do you enjoy research, logistics & design?
Do you feel confident in your knowledge of the best options and deals in the Western Slope area of Colorado?
Do you have a very specific vision?
Do you have a firm budget? If so, are you confident you’ll be able to stick to it?
Do you prefer to do things collaboratively or independently?
Do you have people in your life who can help you (and whose help you want)?
Are there complicated family dynamics wherein mediation would be helpful?

You will be able to schedule planning meetings at any time with a link to my calendar.
For evening meetings, just send a quick text or email so we can get our call on the calendar. For some couples, that is the only time that makes sense!
We can schedule meetings as far out as you need to. It’s important to me to be available when you need it. Planning meetings should take away stress, not add to it!
The meetings themselves will evolve over the course of planning. I will come to the meeting with an agenda, so you don’t have to prep anything but questions.

In order to create a smooth experience for you, coordination starts a little over a month before the event. We will have a meeting to discuss everything you’ve planned and see if there are any other decisions or to-dos you hadn’t thought of.
Your vendors will receive a draft timeline from me 30 days prior to the event, and a finalized version two weeks before. Any venues that require additional communications, documents, or forms within 30 days will receive them!
During this period, I love to be CC’d on any venue or vendor communications so that I can keep up with changes. We will keep in touch all month.
We will schedule a ceremony rehearsal together, which I will run.
On the wedding day, I will be onsite at your venue managing setup. I will be available by phone to other vendors like your stylists, photographer & videographer. I will make sure you have a schedule for getting ready and getting to the venue so you know exactly what to do.
Once you’re at the venue, I will manage the timeline so that you don’t have to think about it, even a little bit! I will come to you to orchestrate every moment you have planned. You’re only job is to soak it all in and enjoy the moment.
After the event, I will oversee breakdown and deliver all of your personal items back to your lodging. If you are leaving town right away, I will submit your marriage license to the courthouse.
Finally, I always tell my coordination-package couples to email me at any time during the planning process! I am always happy to answer questions or review what you’ve planned. If you end up feeling like you need more support, you can add on planning calls.
No matter what you’ve planned, I’m here to deliver a smooth and stress-free event.

As someone who lives here full-time, I absolutely understand that Telluride is an expensive place! If you are on a strict budget and Telluride is your dream location, I can help you whittle down your expenses. My goal is to make weddings in this amazing place accessible to couples who love the mountains and want to share that with their loved ones. It all depends on whether you have the flexibility to go light on “extras” and keep the focus on the beautiful setting.
If you need help determining if a Telluride wedding is achievable for you, schedule a free, no pressure consultation!

First, we will get into your needs and wants. I will lead you through a series of questions designed to help you solidify your priorities on every piece of wedding and help me understand the event you want to put on.
As we go through these questions, I will make recommendations based on your answers. I will then answer any questions we didn’t already get to.
After all this, if it seems like we might be a good match for each other, I can answer any questions you have about my services. If not, or if you’re in information overload, there are no hard feelings!
I love my town, and I love my community of vendors, venues, and other planners here. If a consultation helps you decide whether to have a wedding in Telluride, I consider that a win.

Stoked is a project with a passion. That’s how I do everything. My success is measured by my couples’ joy, not the number of events or how they look on Instagram.
Building great relationships with my couples is what makes being a planner so fulfilling. That means open communication is a must.
I love it when couples have feedback for me throughout the process for how I can better meet their needs. Do you need someone to talk to about wedding stress, hold you accountable to your budget, give you fewer decisions to make, or talk to a family member about why you don’t want a wedding cake? I’m here for it.
The greatest skill that has come from all my years working on events is fostering a stress-free environment. There’s more to that than executing a timeline perfectly. It’s about how you speak to the vendors and staff, how you hold yourself when something unexpected happens, and how willing you are to get dirty when the situation calls for it (that’s why we wear black!). A good planner or coordinator must be a good leader, and to me that means working harder than anyone else there so that others can perform their best.
